• Payment Information: Processed securely by Google Play; we don't store payment details

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version
• Usage Data: Features used, time spent, interactions
• Log Data: IP address, access times, error logs for troubleshooting

2. How We Use Your Information

• Display your profile to potential matches within your distance preferences
• Enable messaging between matched users
• Send notifications about matches, messages, and app updates
• Improve our services through aggregated, anonymized analytics
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect user safety
• Process payments for premium features (Supporter subscription)

3. Information Sharing

• With Other Users: Your profile (photos, name, bio, age, distance) is visible to users within your set radius
• Service Providers: AWS (image storage), SendGrid (email), Google Play (payments) - bound by confidentiality agreements
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect safety
• Business Transfers: In case of merger or acquisition (with advance notice)

4. Data Storage & Security

• Data stored on secure servers in the United States (Railway.app, AWS)
• Passwords encrypted using bcrypt hashing
• All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Regular security audits and monitoring
• Access to user data limited to essential personnel only

5. Your Rights & Choices

5.1 Access & Control

• View Your Data: Access your profile and preferences in the app settings
• Update Information: Edit your profile anytime within the app
• Delete Account: Delete your account from Settings → Delete Account (permanent and irreversible)
• Download Data: Contact us to request a copy of your data

5.2 Location & Notifications

• Disable location permissions in your device settings (limits functionality)
• Manage push notification preferences in Settings
• Opt out of email communications (except essential account emails)

6. Data Retention

• Active Accounts: Data retained while account is active
• Deleted Accounts: Data permanently removed within 30 days
• Messages: Retained until account deletion by either party
• Legal Holds: Data may be retained longer if legally required

7. Age Requirements

VibeDating is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover an underage user, we will delete their account immediately.

Our app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before providing any information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
